The EU Food Policy Database (F-POD)

(Only for UNIBO user accounts)

The EU Food Policy Database (F-POD) is an initiative of the University of Bologna to create and maintain a community-based register of food policies implemented at the European Union level and/or by national governments in Europe.
The structure and the initial policy mapping were developed within the H2020 project FIT4FOOD2030. Our effort was grounded on some existing thematic collections, such as the excellent Nourishing database of nutrition policies or the SCAR survey-based mapping of R&I-related food policies.
The F-POD protocol also draws from classifications developed within SUSFANS. While compiling the initial version of the F-POD database, we realized that this is the first attempt to compile a comprehensive collection of EU food policies across themes.
The University of Bologna provided the resources to implement the open access web-based version of F-POD. Achieving the objectives of a comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date database is a challenging task for a single group of researchers, but it might become feasible if a whole community of users participates to the effort. Thus, we need your help.
